Our Vision, Mission & Policies

Vision

To strengthen connections between people and nurture their relationship with nature, providing transformative outdoor and nature-based learning experiences that foster well-being, physical health, social inclusion, vocational development, personal growth, and a deeper connection with the natural world.

Mission

Our mission is to empower individuals and communities in Bristol and the surrounding areas, particularly those facing disadvantage, through inclusive and accessible outdoor learning opportunities. We aim to:

  • Provide free or affordable outdoor programmes for low-income individuals and families to enhance life skills, foster social inclusion, and build community connections.
  • Celebrate cultural diversity through tailored, inclusive outdoor experiences.
  • Deliver accessible programmes for individuals with disabilities, prioritising inclusion and equal participation.
  • Support at-risk young people with nature-based initiatives that promote personal growth, resilience, independence, and essential life skills.
  • Facilitate community integration and mental well-being for refugees and asylum seekers through outdoor learning and support networks.
  • Equip unemployed and underemployed individuals with skills, confidence, and pathways to employment and civic engagement through targeted training and volunteering opportunities.

By fostering connections between people and nature, we seek to create lasting positive change in the lives of those we serve.
